Young Empowerment Forum

Description

The Forum is for children and young people. There are two forums; The Junior YEF for children at primary school, and the YEF for young people aged 13-25.

  • Do you want your voice to be heard?
  • Do you want to help us make decisions?

Please join us!

The Young Empowerment Forums make positive changes to services in Blackpool for other people with SEND. Both groups meet twice a school term.

  • The Junior Forum meets at different local primary schools for an hour and children can attend with their support worker.
  • The Young Empowerment Forum meets at one of the local special schools.

We do all sorts of exciting work in our meetings, and out and about in the town. The YEF help hire staff for the Council and the Hospital, develop resources for children and young people, train professionals, and more!

If you would like to join one of our groups, or are a professional keen to get some of your SEND children and young people involved, please contact the Children’s Engagement Lead on the details below.
