What is the Urgent Care Centre?

Your GP Out of Hours Service, A&E Department are together under one roof as an Urgent Care Centre with one new telephone number to create an Out of Hours GP Service, A&E Department and Triage Hub.

When you ring 111 you will be asked a series of questions relating to your condition. This will make sure that we direct you to the right NHS service.

You could see an A&E Doctor, a GP, Nurse or Pharmacist at the new Urgent Care Centre or be directed to a more appropriate community service.

Remember the 111 number is for Out of Hours GPs and for Urgent Care.

If you need a GP in normal opening hours, please ring the practice you are registered with.

If you are not registered with a GP, please visit www.nhs.uk to register OR visit a GP practice near to where you live to register.

You cannot register with a GP at the Urgent Care Centre.
