Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Team

The CNS is an expert in nursing practice for  any teenagers and young adults aged between 16-24 years with a cancer diagnosis. They provide care and information for young people and their families supporting their individual needs.

They will help assess  and plan care as well as supporting people after treatment. The CNS will act as a key point of contact and a link between hospital and home helping to ensure coordination and communication between the young person their family and professionals.  As part of a multidisciplinary approach the CNS is link between the principle treatment centre and hospitals in Lancashire and Cumbria.
