RSPB Ribble Discovery Centre and Fairhaven Lake

The Discovery Centre is the perfect place to uncover the amazing wildlife found at the lake and on the Ribble Estuary. Using our interactive display boards you can discover all you need to know before heading outdoors to explore and get closer to nature.
Our arts trail challenge livens up a stroll around the lake. There is also a full and varied events programme including guided walks, mud dips and beach combs to name but a few.

Once you’ve finished exploring why not treat yourself and help save nature in our well-stocked shop which sells everything from bird food to gifts.

Boat hire
With a selection of motor boats, sail boats and rowing boats there is a boat to suit everyone. Seasonal activity with opening times dependent on the weather. Prices vary. Contact the lake booking office to find out more.

Crazy golf
Pick your clubs up from the lake booking office and discover your inner Tiger Woods as you tackle this fiendishly difficult crazy golf course.

Tennis Courts
Fun for all ages and abilities, whether you have your own racquet or you want to hire from us. Drop by the Lake booking office or call.

Children’s Playground
A pirate themed play area will keep the kids entertained for hours, with sand pits and slides within this self contained play area.

Inflatable Slide
Situated behind the pirate playground and cafe, challenge the children to climb the giant inflatable slide whilst you sit back and relax with a brew. Charge applies. Open throughout the holidays and weekends although times are dependent on the weather.
