If you or someone you know has difficulty walking or getting around (mobility), a wheelchair, scooter or walking aid might help.

Walking Frames

You can borrow a walking frame from the NHS.
Speak to a GP, physiotherapist or hospital staff.
You may have to pay a deposit.

Wheelchairs

You can buy a wheelchair from specialist shops. You may qualify for a voucher from the NHS.
Speak to a GP, physiotherapist or hospital staff about a referral to your local wheelchair service assessment centre.

Mobility Scooters

Mobility scooters are not generally available on the NHS.
You may be able to get a grant or help from a charity.
