Level 2 Diploma in Care

Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF) is suitable for learners working in a wide range of roles in a health and adult care settings. The qualification develops competence therefore learners must be in paid or voluntary work to enable assessment to take place. This qualification is assessed through completion of a portfolio of evidence which will be assessed and internally quality assured by the centre.

The content is applicable to a variety of roles, such as Adult care worker, Healthcare assistant/support worker, Personal assistant.

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should ideally have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.

The total qualification time for this qualification is 460 hours, and of this 308 are recommended guided learning hours and is typically delivered over 6 months.

Learners can expect to receive fortnightly support from their assessor using flexible delivery methods for the planned duration of the course.
