Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has nurses who specialise in the following types of cancers: Skin, Lung, Head and Neck, Breast, Urology, Colorectal, Gynaecological, Upper gastrointestinal, haematological and cancers of unknown primary (CUP).

The Nurse Specialists work alongside other healthcare workers, for example consultants, GPs, district and hospital nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists and dieticians.

If you have not already seen a Specialist Nurse and would like to, please ask one of the healthcare team looking after you. Not all patients have a Clinical Nurse Specialist. If you have a type of cancer not mentioned above, please do not hesitate to ask your hospital doctor, nurse or GP for further advice and support.
