Description

Breathe Education promotes positive mental health and wellbeing in Lancashire and surrounding areas.

We offer a variety of courses in yoga and wellbeing to help support the mental and physical health of teachers, staff and students at both primary and secondary levels. All courses can be tailored for individuals and groups, and for students with SEN or additional needs.

Breathe Education also provides yoga therapy for children and young people aged 4 to 19.

Yoga therapy uses the philosophy of yoga which enables a person to become more in tune with the body to support well-being of the mind as well as psychological knowledge to better understand the causes of mental ill health or neural conditions. Yoga therapy has a person centred approach and uses a range of techniques such as breath work, movement, sound, art and play to meet the individual where they are at.

Yoga and yoga therapy can help children and young people with neurodiversity, trauma and physical challenges by:

  • Releasing energy and improving concentration.
  • Help them feel more connected to their body
  • Calm the nervous system
  • Help improve sleep
  • Relax deeply
  • Improve social and communication skills.

If preferred, activities can be practised seated in chairs instead of on floor mats.
