Blackpool's Voice
Description
We are a charitable organisation working to help the homeless, rough sleepers and anyone in need. We work alongside Blackpool Council, Shelter, Social services and other reputable charities with the same aims.
Blackpool's Voice is the vision of one lady, Sue Davies. Sue is supported by trained volunteers.
We can provide help filling benefits applications, mental health support from qualified volunteers. We take referrals and can furnish a house for needy families . The rough sleepers are a priority nobody should be left in such conditions. Any one can call in for warm clothing, sleeping bags, emergency food and a chat.
We have had good success rate with helping people on the streets become alcohol and drug free and housed but above all given them time and their self respect back.
We receive no funding and rely on sales from the shop. We rely on the generosity of the public who are inspiration.
