Blackpool Council Adoption
Description
Adoption is a way of providing a new family for children who cannot be brought up by their own parents. It’s a legal procedure in which all parental responsibility is transferred to the adopters.
If the child’s birth parents are unable to provide a safe and permanent home for the child, for whatever reasons, then adoption is a possible outcome. Some children will have been abused and/or neglected and may have experienced many changes and uncertainty in their lives.
We know that adoption is much more than a legal process. When you adopt a child, you welcome them into your life and will help them to grow and develop, and share their future.
