Description

Blackpool Children and Young Person's Advocacy Service is part of Blackpool Advocacy Hub based at Empowerment Charity. This service is for children and young people who have a Blackpool social worker and feel they aren’t being listened to.

Advocates empower children and young people to be heard in relation to their views, wishes and feelings regarding decisions that are being made about them. Advocates champion the rights of children and young people and support them to speak up about what is important to them. Advocates can represent children and young people during meetings and provide them with the information needed to make vital choices that may affect their lives.

If children and young people feel they haven’t been treated fairly by the local authority, advocates will also support them to make a complaint.
