Description
Our aim is to provide both the physical spaces and activities which improve mental health and wellbeing.
Better Minds offers support to children, young people and their families by coordinating and liaising with local services including education, health, social care and other professionals to promote the needs of individuals and families in order to achieve positive outcomes.
We provide a Welcoming Place for people to meet as a community including coffee mornings and events throughout the year.
We provide warm meals, school uniform exchange, foodbank and baby essential items.
Families with children with special educational needs and disabilities:
We help families with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities navigate through the SEND and SEMH pathways.
We support with:
- Attend agency meeting including Team Around the Family, Child in Need
- Parental Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) applications and guidance
- Disability Benefit applications
- Liaise with educational settings to arrange adjustments for students who are struggling
- Signpost to other services
We support families with children aged 0-25 years old, with, or without, a diagnosis of disability, or neurodiverse conditions.
