Barnardos My Time to Thrive
Description
The Barnardo's My Time to Thrive service offers therapeutic support for children and young people focusing on their mental health and wellbeing.
We support ages 5 to 18 and up to the age of 25 for those with additional needs.
The service is designed for those experiencing low to moderate health needs and provides a range of therapeutic options to help build confidence, develop coping strategies and navigate emotional challenges.
The focus on wellbeing helps participants manage their feelings, recognise their strengths and work towards personal goals.
Therapeutic options include:
- Individual Therapy, up to 10 sessions tailored to their needs
- Group Therapy, 6 sessions where participants can share experiences
This programme ensures that no child has to face mental health challenges alone, providing a safe, supportive space to grow and thrive. This comprehensive approach helps children and young people feel safer, happier, and more hopeful about their mental health and wellbeing.
My Time to Thrive is not a crisis service. It is intended for children and young people who require support for non-urgent mental health needs.
If you need urgent support, please contact your GP, the local CAMHS Crisis Team 0800 953 0110 or in an emergency situation, you should consider contacting Emergency Services or visit your local A&E department or Urgent Care facility.
