About the local offer - introduction

wheelchair sports

The Local Offer gives children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities and their families access to information about what services the local authority think will be available in their local area.

The Local Offer is split into directory categories, to view services click onto the relevant category. If you come across some information that is out of date or inaccurate, or you can’t find some information you were looking for, just let us know

Who is it for?

The Local Offer is for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND, as well as the young people themselves. It is also a resource that individuals, groups or organisations can draw on in the work that they do in supporting children, young people and their families, by highlighting other resources, services or guidance that may be accessed.

How does it help me?

The Local Offer makes it easier to find out what you need to know and when you need to know it, so you’re less reliant on other people or word of mouth suggestions.

The Local Offer identifies your nearest and most suitable services, it also gives you the opportunity to provide feedback to Blackpool Council. The information available contains information and links to services which may help you. Blackpool Council do not endorse or recommend services.

The Local Offer can be accessed through computers at your local library, your own computer or your mobile phone. If you aware of someone struggling to access the Local Offer through technology, please contact us and we will arrange to send out advice and information through the post.
