Patient Advice and Liaison Services (PALS)

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service is a one-stop shop for patients, relatives and carers who require information, support or advice on Health issues across the Fylde Coast. This is a new service that every NHS Organisation in the country is required to introduce and aims to make the patient's journey through the NHS as smooth as possible.

It is a free service
We will aim to provide on the spot advice/support for patients, relatives and carers.
If we cannot help you immediately we will take the details of your problem/concern and get back to you.
Provide information on NHS Services and voluntary services.
Listen to concerns, suggestions and queries.
The Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre PALS service is available to all local NHS service users. The service covers: -

Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Blackpool Primary Care Trust
North Lancashire Teaching Primary Care Trust
Lancashire Care NHS Trust (Local Mental Health Services)
The Lancashire Ambulance NHS Trust operates its own Patient Advice and Liaison Service.Opening hours for the services are:-
Monday - Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm
The service does not operate on Bank Holidays.

The PALS Officers are based at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Clifton Hospital and Rossall Hospital.

If you need urgent advice or support when our PALS office is not open, you can ask to speak to our On Call Senior Nurse through the hospital switchboard (01253 300000).
