Medical helplines for the elderly
If you are helping an elderly loved one with their care, then you will probably be managing multiple prescriptions and medications. Combining medication can have potential side effects and understanding what these are, whether the right medicines have been prescribed and when and how to take them can be confusing.
That is why Taking Care offer medical helplines for the elderly alongside their personal alarm service. You, or the person you are caring for, can speak to a qualified nurse 24 hours a day about any wellbeing concern you may have, in strictest confidence. Trained pharmacists are available to call 7 days a week if you have a question about your pills or prescriptions.
If you or the person you care for have recently left hospital or are undergoing treatment and have been prescribed new medication then you may also have questions about how or when to take this medication.
