Family Nurse Partnership

The Family Nurse Partnership offer support to first time young mothers (aged under 20 years) in Blackpool during pregnancy and for the first two years of the child’s life with a regular home visiting programme.

Fathers are an important part of the home visits and other family members may also participate. The primary focus of the programme is the future health and well-being of the child and parents.

Family Nurses may have a background in nursing, midwifery or health visiting, in addition to the extensive training undertaken as part of the Family Nurse Programme, so have a wealth of knowledge.
