Being A Parent Parenting Course

Being a Parent is an 8-week course helping parents learn practical communications skills for everyday life.
The course aims to improve child development and outcomes, parenting, family resilience and family relationships.
Parents are supported to explore listening, communication, play and interaction skills, managing parent and family stress; and attachment and parent-child relationships. The course is led by parents and for parents, with free childcare available.
For families with children aged 18 months to 11 years (must have at least one child under 5 years).

Blackpool Better Start currently offers more than 25 early years interventions aimed at supporting families through pregnancy and the first four years of a child’s life.
