Freshers Young Onset (Cleveleys)

Freshers Young Onset Cafés offer a relaxed and welcoming setting for people living with early/young onset neurological conditions, such as Alzheimer’s and other dementias, Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis  and Huntington’s.  People can stop by for a drink, something to eat, peer support and information, and family and friends are also welcome.

There are currently 4 established Freshers Cafes in St Anne’s, Blackpool, Lancaster and Kendal and in October 2018 a new Freshers Café will be set up at the Tramway Pub in Cleveleys and will continue to run on the first Tuesday of each month from 6pm – 8pm. The venue has been selected as quite often younger people of working age don’t feel comfortable meeting in village halls and community centres so this is intended to be relaxing, informal and fun and a great way to meet people who are going through the same things and can share their experiences and to offer some support. We have people of all ages coming along to our groups, ranging from 28 to 65 so don’t be afraid to call in and meet us.

If this is something that might be of help, or you know somebody who might benefit from coming along please just turn up, the team will be waiting for you and will make you feel very welcome. If you would like any further information please contact Peter Lyttle on 07856 933003 who is happy to chat with you and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you soon
