Blackpool Safeguarding Children's Board

The government set out the duties of Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCB) in their document ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children (2010)’.

The purpose of all Local Safeguarding Board’s is to ensure that local services provided for children are:

  • effective, and

  • well coordinated

In Blackpool our Local Safeguarding Children Board is called Blackpool Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB).

BSCB is a partnership between Health, Education, Social Care, Police, Probation and the Voluntary Sector.

BSCB supports effective implementation of national legislations and guidance to protect and safeguard all children and young people.
