Freckleton Brownies
Girls from the age of 7 can join the Brownies and stay up until their 11th birthday but can if they wish join the Guides once they are 10 years old.
The Brownies are the next stage following on from Rainbows although it is not necessary to have been in the Rainbows before becoming a Brownie.
The meetings are fun with games, crafts, learning different skills, meeting new people and making new friendships all part of being a Brownie.
There are organised trips throughout the year with one of the most popular being the Pantomime and the other is the Brownie Splash, a trip to The Sandcastle at Blackpool involving lots of waves and water!
The Brownies are linked with the Church of England and attend special services throughout the year at the Holy Trinity Church in Freckleton. This does not affect in any way the membership of Brownies from other religious denominations.
The girls can also work towards gaining a wide range of badges which gives them a great sense of achievement and purpose. The Brownie Motto is "Lend a hand" and this is remembered in all aspects of the girls work.
