Wyre Council Volunteering - Discover Wyre

We are looking to recruit five volunteers to provide an exciting new service supporting Wyre tourism, theatres and markets. You will be a highly motivated person with excellent communications skills. A local knowledge of Wyre is highly desirable, however you will also be required to attend a one-day training course free of charge. Additional guidance and mentoring will also be provided. You will provide a uniformed presence at the following venues, handing out promotional packs and leaflets, signposting visitors and local residents to services and providing general advice.

Cleveleys promenade and Victoria Road West, Rossall and Fleetwood promenade. Fleetwood Market and Dock Street coach bays, Lord Street, Fleetwood, Poulton Market (Mondays), Garstang Market (Thursdays), Poulton railway station.

Special events, eg galas, carnivals, agricultural shows etc. Due to the nature of the post a driving licence and your own transport is essential. Mileage expenses will be paid and uniform and equipment provided.  There is a minimum of two hours' commitment a week up to November 2014, with the potential for this post to extend over the winter months (reduced hours) and into the 2015 season.  This is a fantastic volunteering opportunity for someone who enjoys being outdoors, promoting the variety of exciting shows, venues and facilities in Wyre and who genuinely enjoys meeting people.
