Mentor a young person in Blackpool

Are you looking to make a lasting difference to a young person’s life?

Becoming a Career Ready mentor is a great, flexible way to inspire a young person, unlock their true potential, and guide them through the early stages of their career journey.

You’ll meet with a young person aged 16-18 on a monthly basis, chat to them about their different career options & pathways, and help them develop the skills & confidence needed to kick-start a rewarding future.

“Mentoring a young person is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in my professional life. You feel a real sense of pride when you see a formerly shy young person grow in confidence and achieve their goals thanks to your support and guidance.” – Daniel Busson, Career Ready mentor

By sharing your professional and life experience you can help a young person in a local school/college to:

  • Identify their personal strengths and skills for development
  • Present themselves in a professional manner
  • Explore different career paths and how to navigate towards them
  • Gain real experience of the world of work e.g. by visiting you at your office

As a mentor in Blackpool you will support a young person aged 16-18 from Jan-Dec.
