Aspired Futures is a local charitable organisation offering long term, tailored support packages to the most vulnerable children and young people across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. We support children and young people who face mental health and emotional challenges due to living in complex, chaotic home environments and are identified as being at risk and/or have diagnosed mental health conditions which parents find difficult to manage.
Our professional team are supported by a large team of dedicated intergeneration volunteers to offer weekly support in small groups at our “home from home” centre. One to one mentoring/coaching is provided during times of additional crisis, stress and transition.
We offer a wide range of play, leisure, education, sport and cultural activities to engage children, encourage social interaction, develop self-confidence and increase resilience. To remove all barriers to access we provide transport to and from our services. Our fundamental principles are founded on respect, kindness and traditional values. We believe every child and young person deserves equality in opportunity and care.
Children and young people are referred to Aspired Futures from a variety of interagency partners including social care, mental health services, schools, health visitors and GPs. We attend and report to interagency meetings and conferences to establish and nurture ‘wrap around the child’ close working relationships.
Our long-term commitment to our children and young people is that we will support them until they feel confident to be independent, no matter how many years that needs.
