Revoelution is a community project aiming to help people who live or work in the Revoe area of Blackpool (around the George Hotel on Central Drive) make it a better place.

It’s run by a group of residents who meet once a month – anyone can attend. Just pop in to the Revoelution Hub on Ibbison Court to find out when the next meeting is.

There is money available to put ideas into practice, and a small team of paid workers who run activities and events.

Any ideas are welcome! Over the past 12 months we’ve run or paid for: dance sessions, a work club, arts projects, computing lessons, ancestry searches, gardening groups, children's crafts and litter-picking, ukulele lessons, counselling, football, yoga, meditation, events like the Winter Festival, and more.

We’ve recently recruited a youth worker who’s setting up activities for young people including canoeing, street art, photography and pool nights. We’ve also leased a church building on Queen Victoria Road as a base for youth and community activities. We’re currently helping with a consultation that might lead to government funding to make significant physical improvements to the area.

Ideas for projects are always welcome. We have volunteering opportunities and anyone who lives or works in Revoe can attend our meetings. Feel free to pop in and see us!
