The Trax Academy is run by C4C (Care 4 Children) and is an independent provider of specialist schools, working with and for young people exhibiting a range of special needs.

Trax Academy offers young people a unique choice of bespoke educational and vocational courses at our training centres. The focus is on building self-esteem and attaining nationally recognised qualifications, which provide a pathway to independence and adult employment. 

The carefully balanced individual learning programme not only provides practical skills that lead to accreditation, but a variety of qualifications from entry level English and Maths up to GCSE level. All students will complete a Functional Skills course in numeracy, literacy and IT and will also work towards achieving a qualification awarded by bodies including OCNW, AQA, and NVQ.

We place a strong emphasis on the importance of developing social skills, life skills, citizenship and employability skills, actively promoting opportunities to participate in local community life.

The Following Schools would only be used where a pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan and needs cannot be met from within Blackpool provision.
